The Ontario Science Centre partnered with Bruce Power to create an engaging experience that highlights the remarkable story behind the production of Cobalt 60, a radioactive isotope that emits gamma radiation, and the significant contributions Bruce Power makes to the community.
Alongside the exhibits team, I developed exhibits that guide visitors through the creation of Cobalt 60, including components such as reactors and fuel bays, as well as interactives illustrating its real-world benefits. For example, Cobalt 60 is a key tool in Gamma Knife radiosurgery, a treatment used for brain cancer and other neurological disorders.
This project was researched, designed and fabricated by the Ontario Science Centre. My role was as an Exhibit Designer with the Ontario Science Centre.
